Your Birthday Wish provides birthday parties in Harnett County, North Carolina and surrounding areas..

Your Birthday Wish strives to create lasting memories. We feel that birthdays are special and are a day to remind children in foster care that they are loved, and worth being celebrated. Although foster care can have a lasting effect on any age, Your Birthday Wish requires the birthday child to be at least 4 years old (turning 5 years old).  

Our mission is to provide unforgettable birthday parties, without added stress for the foster parents. Your Birthday Wish does not plan or provide birthday parties at private residences. The location will be determined after discussion with the foster parents and finding out the child’s birthday party wish.

The party must be wanted by the foster child. We understand that birthdays and parties can be triggering for some children in care. For this reason, unless specifically requested by the child, Your Birthday Wish does not plan or provide surprise parties. 

How many people can attend?

Because Your Birthday Wish parties are made possible by the generosity of vendors and donors, there is a limit of 40 attendees or what is allowed by the venue. If you anticipate more than limited, please discuss with us.

Once a party is requested by the foster parents or social worker, Your Birthday Wish will:

Immediately provide you with a simple questionnaire to be filled out with the help of the birthday child. This will contain basic questions that will give us an insight of what type of party is wanted.

Once the questionnaire is completed, we will then secure a location for the party. We will immediately notify you so you may begin inviting people! 

Your Birthday Wish handles the rest! We secure vendors for food, design décor, games, favors, entertainment… the possibilities are only limited by the child’s wish!

Your Birthday Wish understands that foster care can be unpredictable. We do ask that foster parents/social workers contact us immediately if the living situation of the child changes or if a party is no longer needed.
